am grateful to God that I could come to the ancient Nitra – the Bethlehem of Christianity in Slovakia. Nitra tells us about the first millennium. Here was the first Christian church in the whole Central-Eastern Europe.

Wedding photography at the Nitra Castle
The conclusion of the sacrament of marriage in the Cathedral – Basilica of St. Emmeram is possible after fulfilling usual requirements. Couples, getting married in the Cathedral, have the opportunity to shoot their wedding photos in the Castle grounds free of charge.
For couples, not getting married at our Cathedral but interested in doing their wedding photo session here, from April to October, we charge a one-time fee of 15 €. From November to March, we do not charge any photography fees.
Photography is allowed only in the Castle exteriors, on the stairs to the Cathedral, in the eastern courtyard with the well and in the opened gardens.
